FP&A Manager

Based in Houston, TX the FP&A Manager will work directly with the Manager of Financial Reporting to develop and maintain RigNet’s monthly Forecast, 18-month Plan and 5-year Model.  The FP&A Manager will be responsible for working with global Department Heads to develop the methodologies and structure to build both short-term and long-term financial models.  This position will also maintain RigNet’s FP&A modeling tool and build reports and presentations to be used by Executive Management and the Board of Directors.


  • Facilitate RigNet’s monthly forecasting process
  • Serve as a financial resource for Department Heads and Executive Management to develop forecasting assumptions, methodologies and processes
  • Assist in RigNet’s annual planning process
  • Prepare and present analysis of forecasts with Senior Management
  • Develop P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasts based on cross-functional inputs
  • Develop scenario models for analyst, impairment testing, acquisition due diligence and other purposes, as needed
  • Build presentations for review and use by Executive Management, analysts and/or the Board of Directors
  • Maintain and further enhance RigNet’s Financial Planning tool (Adaptive Insights)


Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field; Master's degree a plus
  • Minimum eight (8) years hands-on experience in finance, accounting or FP&A functions
  • Experience working cross-functionally including working directly with Operations, Sales and Executive Management
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office Applications; Excel, Word and PowerPoint a MUST HAVE
  • Hands-on knowledge of financial software; Adaptive Insights a plus
  • Great interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to manage time in coordination with FA’s located around this globe
  • Candidate should be eager to learn and develop their financial reporting and analytical skills as well as learn the operational side of this growing business
  • Candidate should feel comfortable working in a fast-paced, continuously growing and evolving environment

 Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional overnight travel and weekend and/or evening work.

Description: This position requires a moderate amount of stamina with the ability to perform the above essential job functions and within timetables.  Some overtime work will be required.


Lifting: The employee must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. frequently and up to 40 lbs. occasionally for short durations.


Carrying: The employee must be able to carry up to 15 lbs. frequently and up to 40 lbs. occasionally for short distances.


Pushing/Pulling: The employee must be able to push/pull up to 15 lbs. frequently and up to 40 lbs. occasionally usually from desk level to floor or floor to desk level.


Other Physical Requirements: Upper extremity usage, motor coordination, range of motion, vision, hearing and balance should be in a range to safely preclude the harm or injury to the employee in this position or the harm or injury to other employees.


Environmental Considerations: The employee will alternate work between a climate controlled building and an outdoor work site; and may be exposed to dust, fumes or gases and to changes of weather when exposed to outdoors at job sites or other locations.
